Purpose of role

Manage and developing MG Italy's logistic and distribution channels.

Key Results/Accountabilities expected from the role

  • Planning loads and monitoring transport of vehicles from compounds to final destination. Ensuring timely transfer, compliances activities and level of service of MG’s partner transportation company

  • Supervise correct and efficient loading for transport, in line with the expected volumes and the routes or areas of assignment of each provider

  • Deliver actions plan when transport is concentrated in certain areas or critical situations

  • Catch opportunities when transport or transit of vehicles within territory compounds could reflect efficiency of time and expense.

  • Be the main point of contact for logistics providers, ensuring compliance with agreed kpi to be verified in periodic meetings.
  • Support in daily operational activities and relatives department in defining and improving processes and tools for best logistic deliveries.
  • Ensures timely interventions in case of services issue, involving all internal/external person of contacts to contribute to the more efficient resolution

  • Deliver reports to detect mostly frequent logistic issue to be improved and take the needed action

  • Promotes an innovative approach with new possible solutions , in the constant search of improving the level of service provided

Experience & Educational background & Expertise

Degree in Engeneering, Economics or relative studies.

Previous experience in the automotive logistics sector.

Excellent knowledge of Office package.

Good knowledge of English both spoken and written.

Availaible to travel.
